Cookie Policy

How ProTech Appliance Services uses cookies on this website.

Last updated: May 12, 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They help sites remember preferences, keep you signed in, and measure usage. We also use related technologies like local storage and pixel tags; for simplicity we refer to all of these as "cookies."

2. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

Required for the website to function:

  • Booking-flow state cookies (preserve your appointment selections)
  • CSRF and security tokens
  • Session cookies (if you sign in to the customer portal)
  • consent_v1 — stores your cookie preferences (12 months)

Analytics (privacy-respecting, on by default)

We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-friendly product self-hosted by the platform operator, to understand aggregate site usage. Umami does not use third-party cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information by default.

Optional marketing / advertising (off unless the shop enables them)

If ProTech Appliance Services has configured them, the following third-party trackers may load on this site. Where required by applicable state privacy law, we honor opt-out signals (including Global Privacy Control) and respect browser-level cookie-blocking preferences:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
  • Google Ads conversion tags
  • Facebook (Meta) Pixel
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Microsoft Clarity (session replay)

These services may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

3. Your choices

  • Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Doing so may break sign-in and booking.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of sale/share of personal information for residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, and similar states.
  • Marketing opt-out: you can disable third-party advertising cookies through your browser's privacy settings (Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Third-party cookies; Safari: Preferences → Privacy; Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security). On supported browsers (e.g., Brave, DuckDuckGo, Firefox with privacy.gpc.enabled), you can also enable Global Privacy Control to send an automatic opt-out signal that we honor.

4. State-specific notices

California residents have rights under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and CCPA/CPRA. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and other comprehensive-privacy-law states may have similar rights. See the Privacy Policy section on your rights for the full list.
